Check out this blog – Be Transfigured!

Hello my Name is: Fr Athanasios C Haros

My patron saint is: St Athanasios the Great, Patriarch of Alexandria

My website: Be Transfigured!

What it’s about: From my perspective, in America at least, we have lost the functional understanding of our Orthodox Christian Faith. We must take seriously that our Traditions have purpose and are not a just a litany of tasks and obligations we must perform. To “boil down” the Faith to that creates an environment I believe is what the Apostle Paul taught against.

As a child, my favorite children’s book was: My favorite book growing up was called “Fletcher the Dog” I don’t remember anything about it except that it was my favorite.

If I could tell our youth one thing it would be: If I could tell our youth one thing it would be: Take your faith seriously and take OWNERSHIP of your faith. The Orthodox Christian Faith is more than just a bunch of rules. It is a way of life which will, without doubt, prepare you for eternity with God in heaven. It’s never too early to start taking your faith seriously, but it’s never too late to “start over” if your life hasn’t quite gone as the Lord would like.
